Tasting Notes
Gorgeous crimson colour. Lightly spicy and delicately berried on the nose and palate. The initial mouthfeel is quite sumptous, but this elegant Shiraz finishes fairly dry. A good accompaniment to light red meat dishes or ostrich, oxtail and venison.
In The Vineyard
The moderate climate and fertile soils, combined with cooling winds in the afternoons, create ideal conditions for growing quality red grapes.
About The Harvest
The grapes were harvested in February 2001 from a vineyard situated on clay soil in the Muldersvlei area in Stellenbosch. The grapes were harvested fully ripe.
